Daniel Montero · Interior design · New York

Spaces that make room for living.

Daniel Montero composes residential interiors from the architecture outward — circulation, light, material, furniture, art, and the quiet rituals of a day at home.

The Design Journal shares fictional concept studies, not completed client projects. Private consulting begins with your real rooms and a scoped conversation.

The studio

The Design Journal shows fictional, AI-assisted before-and-after concepts with schedules that name what belongs in the frame — furniture, lighting, art, textiles, fittings, and ritual objects. Start with The Park Bath or The Limestone Ritual.

A curated product library gathers furniture, lighting, art, textiles, bath and ritual objects, and wallcoverings with official maker identity where known. A rendered product form is illustrative; it does not prove stock, finish, price, endorsement, or image rights. Confirm with the maker before purchase.

The visual workspace lets visitors explore empty rooms publicly. Image generation is available only to invited, enabled accounts in the pilot. Generated images require human comparison with the original room before publication or construction decisions.

Private consulting covers concept development, spatial editing, furniture and art sourcing, room specifications, and whole-home creative direction. When moving image is part of a presentation, film is credited to Lumier Studios.

Daniel Montero

Daniel Montero is the designer and founder credited on Edge Design Works and every Design Journal story. The published concepts show a point of view centered on materials, planning, ritual objects, and quiet residential spaces — baths, suites, salons, and kitchens composed for how they could be lived in.

Daniel Montero designs interiors in New York and photographs fine art. His work has shown in the United States and Europe, including Red Dot Miami during Miami Art Week 2025 and La Vita è Bella: Contemporary Visions at Monat Gallery in Madrid. That same eye for light and material informs his interior concepts.

For more than ten years he has managed luxury estates for families across New York City and the Hamptons. He knows how a house runs at 7 a.m. and at midnight. He walks furniture showrooms the way some people sketch, then holds a finished room in his head before anything arrives. He wants spaces that feel light and good to live in.

How the journal relates to client work

Journal stories begin with a fictional empty room or a disclosed earlier study. The finished image is AI-assisted design direction by Daniel Montero, not a photograph of a built commission. The schedule names visible elements; dimensioned studies state concept dimensions, placement, and fit notes, not surveyed client measurements. Private engagements apply the method to the client’s rooms through consulting.
