Engagement and fees

Engagements with Daniel Montero are billed at $300 per hour and scoped to the room or the home with a written fee limit before work begins. Design direction and specification are distinct from the cost of furniture, lighting, art, and finishes you purchase from makers. Write design@gildedge.com with your room type, location, project stage, desired scope, and timeline to receive a tailored proposal. Invoices are issued by Gilded Edge Group LLC.

What the design fee covers

Private consulting time for concept, spatial editing, creative direction, and specification — single-room or whole-home as scoped. See Services for the full offer list and Process for the sequence after you inquire.

What is separate

Furnishings, lighting, art, textiles, fittings, installation, shipping, and maker purchase prices are not included in the design fee. Schedules and maker links are for identity and sourcing; confirm stock, finish, price, and rights with the maker.

How proposals work

Projects are scoped with a written fee limit before work begins. There is no public package price grid and no Free / $29 / $79 software tiers. Hourly design direction plus a written limit keeps the engagement bounded while remaining flexible to the rooms you choose.

Studio and catalogs

The public workspace is a separate lane for previewing rooms and references. Image generation is available only to invited, enabled accounts in the pilot. Future partner catalogs may feed shopping lists later; they are not a live retail checkout today.
